Arc Wallet is a self-custodial application. Your recovery phrase, private keys, and passcode are stored on your device. Purpose Financial LLC does not operate a custodial service and cannot recover your wallet credentials if you lose them.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Purpose Financial LLC (“Purpose Financial,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Arc Wallet mobile application (“App”) and related services. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Arc Wallet lets you create and manage self-custodial wallets, send and receive USDC on the Arc network, view activity, and interact with public blockchain infrastructure. We built the App with a privacy-first approach: we do not require account registration, email, or identity verification to use core wallet features.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for or require the following to use Arc Wallet:
- Legal name, government ID, or Know-Your-Customer (KYC) documents
- Email address or social media account
- Bank account or credit card details within the App
- Your exact wallet balance, transaction amounts, or recovery phrase through our analytics systems
We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key for support purposes. Anyone who requests them is not affiliated with Purpose Financial LLC or Arc Wallet.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The following data stays on your iPhone or iPad unless you choose to share it outside the App:
- Wallet credentials — recovery phrase or imported private key, encrypted with your passcode
- Passcode — used to encrypt wallet data; not stored in plain text on our servers
- Wallet labels and settings — including network preference, balance visibility, and biometric unlock preference
- Saved contacts — names and addresses you add for convenience
- Activity cache — recent transaction metadata fetched from public sources to display your history
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, biometric authentication is handled by Apple’s Secure Enclave. We do not receive or store your biometric data.
4. Information Processed to Provide the Service
To operate the App, certain information is processed locally or sent to third-party infrastructure:
- Blockchain requests — your wallet address and transaction data are sent to Arc RPC nodes and public explorers (such as Arc Explorer) to fetch balances, submit transactions, and display on-chain activity. Blockchain data is public by design.
- QR scanning — if you scan a QR code, the camera is used on-device to read payment addresses or links. We do not record or upload camera footage.
- Clipboard — when you paste an address, the App reads the clipboard only at your request.
- Remote configuration — the App may fetch non-personal configuration values (such as network endpoints) to keep the service running reliably.
5. Analytics and Device Information
We use privacy-conscious product analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve stability. Analytics events are designed not to include wallet addresses, transaction hashes, exact balances, exact transfer amounts, or any part of a recovery phrase. Where amounts are referenced, they are grouped into coarse magnitude buckets only.
Analytics may include:
- App launch and screen interaction events (for example, send opened, receive opened)
- Feature usage flags (for example, whether biometrics are enabled)
- Network selection (mainnet or testnet)
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Crash and performance diagnostics
We may use third-party analytics and attribution providers such as Firebase and AppsFlyer. These providers process data under their own privacy policies. You can limit ad tracking in your iOS Settings.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Arc Wallet
- Process transactions you initiate on the Arc network
- Display balances and activity history
- Protect against abuse, fraud, and technical failures
- Comply with applicable law when required
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data Retention
Wallet data stored on your device remains until you delete the App, erase your wallet from settings, or remove individual wallets. Analytics data retained by our service providers is governed by their retention schedules, typically in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
On-chain transaction records are permanent and public on the Arc blockchain. We cannot delete blockchain data.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit, including TLS for network communication. Wallet secrets are encrypted on your device using your passcode. No security method is perfect; you are responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase, passcode, and device access.
9. Children’s Privacy
Arc Wallet is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International Users
Purpose Financial LLC is based in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate, under applicable data protection laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
